A few years ago while volunteering at the local animal shelter I noticed that Pit Bulls were among the only breed not going out to local breed specific rescues in the area. Once I realized this was due to the fact that there were no Pit Bull rescues in the area I knew what we had to do. Fueled by our passion to advocate for those that have no voice we formed Guardian Pit Bull Rescue. As we began advocating we found that others shared our passion and support for the breed. I've always been inspired by those who don’t wait for things to happen and this is truly my passion and my way to be the change I want to see in the world.

My whole life has been dedicated to caring for and protecting animals. I have always been a lover of big dogs and when I started college I found my best friend Sadie who is an American Pit Bull Terrier. Ten years later I have become an advocate and lover of this breed. I even had Sadie and my sister as my maid of honor and they walked down the isle together at my wedding. I have fostered and found homes for many dogs and I wanted to do more and educate people about this wonderful breed. I knew Guardian Pit Bull Rescue was where I belonged to help these misunderstood beauties.

About 4 1/2 years ago I adopted my precious Allie from Guardian Pit Bull Rescue. It took me about 10 seconds to fall head over heels in love with her and about the same amount of time to know I just HAD to work with this awesome passionate group of people. Little did I know how drastically my life would change. Since then, I’ve met some life-long friends; traveled to different cities advocating for the breed; fostered; foster failed; cried; LAUGHED till I cried; educated thousands and each and every day I fall more and more in love with these sweet intelligent beautiful dogs. I can’t imagine my life without my Guardian family or without my pit bulls.
