My name is Ally. I’m about 8 or 9 months old. My foster Mom loves me a lot! She says I’m really smart and adorable. I know commands like sit, kennel, go potty, outside, come, stay, no and leave it. I’ve eaten different brands of dog food…Whole Earth Farms grain Free Recipe, Kibble and Bits, Purina Dog Chow, I’m not picky. I love treats! Milk Bones, Variety treats, Dentastix, Vienna sausages…I’ve even eaten broccoli and spaghetti squash. This is a photo of me on the kitchen floor. I love to watch her do things. My friend Lucky, 12 year old terrier, is sometimes cranky and my foster Mom tells me to “leave it”. I know to walk away even though I love him. My other friend is like me, a foster pup. She is about the same age as me and we run and play for hours. If I see a puddle after a rain I jump and play in it. This summer what fun it would be to have a wading pool with water in it!
We are waiting for the command to come for our treat. Look how smart we are.I’m trained to ride wearing a harness and I will ride in a kennel too. My daily routine…let out of my kennel around 7 or 8 am. I’m told to go potty outside. Then I get 1 scoop of dog food (she puts some water in it because I eat it so fast). I stay in my kennel for about 10 or 30 minutes to digest my food. When I get out I play with toys and my friends. I have to go over my commands like sit, stay, and come but I don’t mind because I get treats when I do. When she has to leave she says kennel and I run to my kennel and sit and she gives me a milk bone because I’m so cute. She always says you be a good girl I’ll be right back. When she returns she lets me out and I’m told to go potty outside. Then I play more. At around 6 or 7 pm I get 1 scoop of dog food (I eat in my kennel). Then I’m let out to play and follow her around etc. About 10 pm I’m told bedtime go to your kennel, I get a milk bone and she turns out the lights and she says good night sweet girl. She keeps a water bowl filled and I know when I’m thirsty where to get a cool drink. Sometimes we just chill.
Please remember I’m still a puppy and chew on things mostly sticks in the yard. Sometimes I take a tennis ball apart. So if you see me starting to do something I shouldn’t just tell me “no” I will stop sometimes I’ll bring it to you with my sad eyed look. I’m still learning.
